BookLook RI

Overview

BookLook RI is designed with privacy in mind. The app does not collect, store, or share any personal data.

Search Data

When you search for a book, your query is sent directly to the Ocean State Libraries catalog and nowhere else. BookLook RI does not log, store, or transmit your searches to any third party.

Location Data

If you grant location access, your location is shared with Apple Maps (iOS) or Google Maps (Android) when you use the map. Location data is never collected or stored by BookLook RI. The app works without location access, but library search results will not be sortable by distance or drive time.

Analytics & Tracking

BookLook RI does not use any analytics services, advertising frameworks, or tracking tools. There are no cookies, no fingerprinting, and no user profiles.

Third-Party Services

The app only connects to two external services:

• Ocean State Libraries (OSLRI): to search the library catalog
• Apple Maps / Google Maps: to display library locations on the map (depending on platform)

Children's Privacy

No information about any user, regardless of age, is ever collected.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
